My husband celebrated his 60th Birthday at the Ballroom on Saturday and I cannot express how fantastic this venue is, from the moment you walk in it gives you the wow factor. Mandie made sure everything run smoothly and was a pleasure to deal with, the food was excellent and the bar staff were amazing and worked really hard, a big thank you to everyone for making Richards Birthday one to remember. If you are looking for a venue then do not hesitate to book this amazing place.
We had our wedding at The Old Regent Ballroom in January 2024 and to say we were happy was an understatement.From the minute we walked into the venue it was clear that it was a hidden gem. The venue is beautiful, and Mandie and her team do everything to make sure that your needs are met. We had booked the ballroom which was the perfect setting for a wedding party.The food was brilliant and drinks were kept flowing. We couldn’t have asked for anymore and both my wife and U would highly recommend the Regent Ballroom.Thank you Mandie for making our day so special for us.
I had my 50th birthday celebrations here this weekend and had the best time. The venue looked absolutely stunning, the food was plentiful and tasty and all the staff were extremely helpful, accommodating and catered to our needs.I would highly recommend this venue and would definitely use them again. My guests absolutely loved the venue too.I couldn’t have wish for more.
We had our wedding reception at The Old Regent Ballroom in Stanford, and my god what the best decision that was!We knew as soon as we walked in on that first viewing, we were 100% having our wedding reception there, the now wife ensured we paid the deposit before we left (She absolutely fell in love with the downstairs piano bar and cocktail bar).From first viewing and booking (1-2 years before) to stumbling out on our wedding night Mandie and team supported us and helped us through our planning all the way. The team were always on hand to answer any worries / questions via email or phone and were completely accommodating of all of our needs!Having one of the biggest wedding sit down meals and receptions at the venue that they have had, they certainly pulled out all of the stops to make it the most magical day ever!The venue itself is magnificent, so many of our guests were amazed that this beautiful venue was sitting right on our doorstep and as soon as they walked into the piano bar were amazed at the size (most comparing it to be like a Tardis). The food was amazing everyone gave compliments on how good the food was and how generous the portions were, we opted for a carvery dinner with handmade homemade pies for vegans (these were beautiful) along with gorgeous cheesecake & chocolate fudge brownie for dessert. Shaun and Frank done an amazing job with the food!Once the dinner was finished, we had the party where we had a DJ & 4-piece band both set up on the stage. The venue was big enough to keep our tables out as well as having a fully dedicated dancefloor, bar area and comfortability moving around; all in one room! The way this room flows with is sweeping tiers means no matter where your guests are they are constantly involved in the party.The bar staff were very attentive meaning no one was ever long waiting for a drink and I was kept up to date with how much was left out of the money I put behind the bar.Overall, the day went perfect and we have both said we wouldn't have done anything different; I can honestly say The Old Regent Ballroom served us well and was worth every penny! To anyone looking for a wedding reception venue we 100% recommend The Old Regent Ballroom, you will not be disappointed, not just with the venue itself, but with the amazing customer service throughout!Thank you, Shaun, Frank, Mandie & the rest of the team for making our day go so smoothly and helping it to be the most perfect day!
This place is amazing! I had such an excellent night, food & cocktails were great! The whole venue is beautiful & I would highly recommend to everyone for parties, work events or just drink with friends!
I had my 40th Party here, totally amazing!! Couldn't of asked for a better venue, and all the bar staff were really friendly and so helpful, Mandie who helped organise my bash, really helpful, in everyway. We are very grateful. The buffet was delicious all my friends and family said it was the best buffet. If your looking for a party of a wedding venue this is the place!!
I had my wedding reception here in 2015 which was breathtaking. We returned on Saturday for the Garage Brunch (the husband and I). Let me say "it did not disappoint" the venue looked as stunning as I remember, the tables were all set out for each group/guest. The drinks are at such a reasonable price, the food was absolutely delicious (slider and dirty fries) and such a good portion size. The music played throughout and you just couldn't help but dance. The staff give it that added magic as there are all amazing. I would highly recommend this place and in fact we will be back there in December with our friends for the Christmas party. This is a place not to be missed and a real hidden gem.
My daughter just had her wedding reception here and what an amazing venue! Beautiful decor amazing food and fantastic staff. I can't praise the regent enough.
What a night! We hosted a surprise party and everything was perfect! Couldn't of asked for anything more, so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was, the friendly staff and how nothing was an issue! Would defiantly recommend! There was no clean up needed from us no hassle in collecting the few bits we left overnight! If you're looking to throw a party, this ticks all the boxes!

We hired the old regent ballroom for our soul event Velvet Soulbox! Well what can I say.... The Venue is stunning the staff are friendly the bar staff can cope with anything a true credit to the regent! The response we have had from or guests has been overwhelming! We held our Wedding at this venue (upper floor). The food was amazing! The service and friendliness of the staff was superb and they helped to take away alot of the stress of the day. Would 100% recommend to others, for any special occasion.
We were invited here to a 50th birthday bash in the upstairs function suite totally unaware of what type of venue it was going to be . So when we got inside we were pleasantly surprised at how grand and tasteful it is inside ! Once in there you can forget you are in Stanford le hope and it reminded me of nights spent in Romford in places like hollywoods in years gone by . From top to bottom somebody with an eye for opulence has decorated and made a palace out of the building with pictures of stars of old like Vivienne Leigh , Lucille ball and Sidney Poitier to name a few . I forgive you if you’ve never heard of these people lol , I think you may need to be 50 plus . I guess the building has a history going back to this era ? 1940s/50s ? When ballrooms were the place to go and dance and sing the night away . Anyway hats off to the people behind this venture because they have pulled off what they set out to do and breathe life back into this old building with the foresight that a bunch of people will turn up and maybe appreciate what they have created . Put your best clothes on and try it , have a Long Island iced tea or pina colada and take it all in . Friday and Saturday nights are prime I guess ? and I never thought I’d say it but ,taste a bit of class in Stanford !
We booked the Foyer Bar of the Old Regent Ballroom for my father's wake. The team were amazing, and the space was perfect for the small number we were. Staff were kind, listened and produced a fantastic buffet more than sufficient for our needs. It was a lovely space for us to talk to each other and reminisce about dad. I can't say thank you to them enough.

A fabulous venue. Great decor, helpful staff, wonderful food.We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary there last week and were very impressed. Its a hidden gem in Stanford le Hope which I am so glad we found- thank you for making our day so special.
